St. Malo 2004 - Walk along the coast, then home

plage_du_havre.jpg On the last day we decided to go for a walk along the coast. We took the bus to Plage du Havre, the most easterly beach of St Malo, and then set off along Grand Randonée 35.
coast_walk.jpg One of the small beaches along the way.
ruined_fort.jpg A ruined fort.
coast_walk_2.jpg Another fort.
precipice.jpg I thought this was interesting. You can make out some steps leading down to the beach. The sign at the top says "dangerous", possibly because if you slip on the bit near the centre of this shot, it's 100 feet straight down.
intra_muros_1.jpg Back in St. Malo. This is a view towards one of the gates in the wall.
intra_muros_2.jpg And this is where the kids buy all their replica guns and knives. At least they would if we let them.
postcards.jpg Here are some postcards outside the shop.
mini_train.jpg And the St Malo mini-train, which just happened to go past.
moon_from_ferry.jpg And finally: This is the moon from the ferry on the way home. We sailed rather late. Considering this was about an 8 second exposure on a rocking boat it's come out amazingly well.
